About the Role
Description
This role is ideal for writers who understand football beyond match results and can produce clear, insightful, and well-structured content about football careers, clubs, scouting, coaching, player development, recruitment, analytics, and the wider football industry.
Editors will work on a freelance basis and will be responsible for writing original blog posts for Kickwise. We expect each editor to contribute a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 4 blog posts per month.
All content must be original, human-written, and created without the use of artificial intelligence tools. Writers will be paid per approved blog post.
Requirements
- Strong writing skills in English
- Good understanding of football and the football industry
- Ability to write original content without using AI tools
- Interest in football careers, scouting, coaching, analytics, recruitment, or player development
- Ability to produce 2–4 blog posts per month
- Previous writing, blogging, journalism, or editorial experience is preferred
- Attention to detail, structure, grammar, and readability
- Reliable communication and respect for deadlines
Responsibilities
- Write original football-related blog posts for Kickwise
- Create clear, engaging, and well-structured articles
- Cover topics related to football careers, recruitment, clubs, academies, scouting, coaching, analysis, and industry trends
- Research topics properly and ensure factual accuracy
- Follow Kickwise’s editorial tone and content guidelines
- Submit articles on time according to the agreed monthly schedule
- Revise submitted articles when editorial feedback is provided
Payment
Editors will be paid for each approved blog post. Payment details will be agreed individually based on experience, article length, and editorial expectations.
