Youth Goalkeeper Coach

FC Locarno is looking for a motivated, dynamic and development-oriented goalkeeper coach for its youth academy. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating and delivering the technical, physical coordination and mental development pathway of the club’s goalkeepers, working closely with the sporting department and the coaches of the individual teams.

• Planning and delivery: Develop and implement goalkeeper-specific training programmes tailored to different age groups and the requirements of youth 11-a-side football.
• Tactical integration: Work closely with team coaches to ensure the goalkeeper’s role is effectively integrated into build-up play, goal protection and the management of the defensive line.
• Monitoring and evaluation: Track the individual development of young goalkeepers through monitoring reports, regular discussions with staff and the use of video analysis tools where applicable.
• Matchday support: Attendance and support during official weekend matches may be required in order to provide direct in-game and post-match feedback.
• Development and education: Actively participate in regular technical staff meetings and internal coordination sessions within the youth academy.

• Qualifications: Relevant goalkeeper coaching qualifications or certificates, such as SFV/ASF licences or equivalent UEFA qualifications.
• Experience: Previous experience, even at an introductory level, in coaching and developing young goalkeepers within football.
• Interpersonal skills: Excellent communication skills, empathy when working with young players, positive leadership and a strong team-oriented approach.
• Availability: Regular availability for weekday evening training sessions and at weekends for league fixtures.
• Residence: Based in the Canton of Ticino or the immediately surrounding areas.
