⚽ We’re Hiring: Volunteer Event Manager | Baguley Athletic FC
Are you an organised, energetic event manager or communications student/professional looking to build real-world experience in community sports management?
Baguley Athletic FC is looking for a Volunteer Event Manager to help plan, coordinate, and execute club events, matchday activations, and community initiatives.
About the Role
As our Event Manager, you will play a key role in bringing our community together. You’ll be responsible for organising events that engage local fans, support our teams (from early-years initiatives up to adult teams), and deliver value to our community partners and sponsors.
📍 Location: Ericstan Park, Wythenshawe / Flexible remote planning
⏱️ Commitment: ~3–5 hours per week (flexible, event-dependent)
Key Responsibilities
Plan and execute club events, fund-raising days, end-of-season presentations, and matchday activations.
Coordinate logistics, vendors, volunteers, and facilities for club activities.
Work closely with the club’s Media and Marketing department to promote events across social channels.
Engage with local community partners, sponsors, and supporters to ensure high-quality attendee experiences.
What We’re Looking For
Strong organisational, time-management, and project management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Passion for community sports, grassroots football, and community engagement.
Previous experience in event planning, hospitality, or sports management is a plus (students or early-career professionals welcome!).
