Über die Rolle

Beschreibung

Baguley Athletic FC is an ambitious, FA Charter Standard Club on a serious upward trajectory. To take our recruitment to the next level, we have structured our backroom team with a dedicated Head of Player Recruitment. We are now building out a scouting network underneath them to ensure no talent in the South Manchester area goes unnoticed.

Working directly under the guidance of our Head of Player Recruitment, you will be assigned specific leagues, regions, or individual matches to track. Your primary focus will be identifying open-age talent capable of making an immediate impact on our First Team or Development match day squads.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Targeted Scouting: Executing specific scouting assignments handed down by the Head of Player Recruitment.
  • Player Assessment: Attending competitive local matches to evaluate technical quality, physical attributes, and in-game character
  • Structured Reporting: Compiling concise, objective player reports using the club's standard criteria and submitting them directly to the clubs database for the Head of Player Recruitment.

What we are looking for

  • A sharp tactical eye and a deep understanding of what it takes to succeed in men's open-age football
  • The ability to work as part of a structured recruitment department—taking direction well and hitting deadlines with reports.
  • Reliability, objectivity, and excellent networking skills within Manchester's amateur football scene.

Why join our Recruitment Department?

  • Structured Environment: Work within a proper football hierarchy, gaining genuine experience of how a modern club recruitment department operates.
  • Mentorship & Growth: Learn directly from our Head of Player Recruitment, perfect for aspiring scouts, opposition analysts, or sports data students looking to build a portfolio.
  • Direct Pipeline: Your reports go straight to the top, directly influencing first-team signings and trial invitations.
  • The Badgers Culture: Be part of a progressive, ambitious community club with a driven backroom staff.
